People access disability supports for many different reasons. The levels of support required may also change from time to time. Supports are provided to remove barriers, so that everyone can live a full life and participate in their community.
There is currently no central service in the Rodney District that provides information about local disability support. RICI is committed to filling this gap.
The vision of the New Zealand Disability Strategy is:
"New Zealand is a non-disabling society - a place where disabled people have an equal opportunity to achieve their goals and aspirations, and all of New Zealand works together to make this happen."
This Directory is a work in progress. Some groups may be on pause, due to the pandemic.
